Fossil has vowed to update all its smartwatches to Android Wear 2.0 in March. Its confirmation comes less than three weeks after Google announced the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style — the first watches that ship with Wear 2.0 pre-installed.

Announced last June at Google I/O 2016, Wear 2.0 is a significant update to Google’s wearable platform, adding a whole bunch of new features and making big improvements. Users get to enjoy the Google Assistant, and better apps that can do more without a connected smartphone.

Wear 2.0 also adds support for complications like those on Apple Watch, so developers can create little widgets that integrate into your watch faces and display things like the weather, breaking news alerts, upcoming tasks, step counts, and more.

Other improvements include smarter canned responses for incoming messages, better handwriting recognition, and a new keyboard with swipe-to-type capabilities.

Most Android Wear watchmakers have been pretty quiet about when they’ll be rolling out the Wear 2.0 update for existing devices. But in response to a fan on Twitter, Fossil has confirmed it will be updating its entire lineup of wearables in mid-March. We’re hoping for a more specific release date in the coming weeks.
